Forest Parks in Ireland

Irish forest parks generally have a lesser emphasis on commercial timber production and a greater emphasis on recreational facilities than other forests. Most have marked walking trails, cafes, campsites and extensive car parking areas. In total, there are twenty forest parks in Ireland. The eleven in the Republic of Ireland are managed by Coillte, and the nine in Northern Ireland* are managed by the Forest Service of Northern Ireland.
