There are thousands of Irish summits ranging from Carrauntoohil (the highest mountain in Ireland) to the lowest of drumlins, hillocks and mounds. In this section, we focus exclusively on Ireland's mountains and most notable hill summits. Each of these locations features on at least one of Ireland's five primary original summit lists below.

Mountain and hill summits in Ireland offer great walking opportunities all year round, however we particularly recommend visiting them during months when the days are longest. For this reason, we promote upland walking as our monthly theme for June.
